We've been working on this one a bit quietly for a while and it's finally ready. Miu has her new brain, and it makes a real difference in how she talks to you.
If you've spent time with her before, you know she could be a little hit or miss. She'd lose the thread of what you were saying, take her sweet time responding, or bat back a line that didn't quite fit the moment. That's what we set out to fix. With MiuAi turned on she responds much faster, actually stays with the conversation, and reacts to what's happening in front of her instead of falling back on the same old lines. She feels a lot more like she's genuinely watching you now, ears up and paying attention, which, given her size, is either very good or very bad news for something as small as you.
This comes with Tier 4 and above at no extra cost, and there is an impossible usage limit to hit. Talk to her as long as you like, as often as you like. Nothing to install and nothing to set up on your end either (Only text not voice). It all runs on our side, so even if your machine couldn't handle the old setup, this will purr along just fine. All you need to do is update the launcher and upgrade/subscribe to tier 4 in order to use it
Turning it on takes a few seconds. Open Settings, go to the MiuAi tab, and flip on "Use MiuAi as Miu's brain." It takes effect the next time you launch. If you ever want to put her back the way she was, the old options are still there and you can switch whenever you like.
She's still growing into this new head of hers and we'll keep sharpening her from here, so if something feels off, or if you get a moment with her that really lands, drop it in the feedback section on the website. That input genuinely shapes where she goes next.
Tier 4 and up can wake her right now.
MiuAI is optional and in beta. If you want to continue to run local or with your own AI subscription, it will retain and maintain full functionality.
A few things I know people are going to ask
- Tier 4 is a must. The AI is something we actively spend our resources on, and every person using it costs us real money to keep running.
- There's no limit. Talk to her as much as you want.
- Yes, the subscription has to stay active to use MiuAi.
- Boosty members unfortunately can't be included right now. We're actively looking for alternatives to Boosty, so if you know a good one, say it out loud.
- Miu keeps some memory even without the AI, because part of it lives in the game itself rather than in her new brain. So even if you can't keep the subscription going, local Miu is always there and still remembers you.
- List itemYour data is completely safe. Every message going to and from her is encrypted, and by design not even we can read them. That said, be aware this is a cloud model with internet access, so treat it like any online service.
